M&J is seeking Construction Record Keepers to maintain construction project records and processes related paperwork; review and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitor records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due contractor for work completed. Work requires contact with contractors. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate with construction inspectors and contractor's staff to ensure project records accurately reflect changes and agreements.
• Attend pre-construction meetings to coordinate with contractor's bookkeeper on record-keeping procedures.
• Monitor contractor's compliance with federal requirements related to Equal Employment Opportunity and wages.
• Composes, reviews, and maintains correspondence, reports, supporting documents and files.
• Maintains filing structure for each construction project within assigned area.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Valid driver's license

Proficient Skill in
  • Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files, and reports
  • Communicating technical information effectively
  • Using computers, applicable programs, applications, and systems
  • Maintaining a safe and effective working relationship with others
