Job Description
The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Product Manager, Web Analytics to own how Mattel defines, captures, and maintains digital analytics data across our ecommerce properties.
This role will lead the roadmap for web analytics tracking, event instrumentation, data layer standards, and front-end data governance. You will work with Analytics, Marketing, Engineering, QA, Privacy, and agency partners to ensure our web data is accurate, consistent, and usable across brands and experiences.
What Your Impact Will Be:
  • Own the web analytics roadmap across Mattel DTC properties.
  • Define and maintain tracking standards for key customer and ecommerce events.
  • Create and manage event specs, data layer requirements, naming conventions, parameters, and tracking documentation.
  • Partner with Analytics and Marketing to define measurement needs for reporting, attribution, audiences, and campaign performance.
  • Partner with Engineering to implement front-end event tracking and data layer updates.
  • Lead QA for analytics tracking, including event firing, payload accuracy, missing events, duplicate events, and purchase tracking.
  • Monitor data quality and coordinate fixes when tracking issues occur.
  • Support consent-aware analytics collection in partnership with Privacy and compliance teams.
  • Manage analytics requirements for site launches, redesigns, checkout changes, and new marketing initiatives.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks, tradeoffs, and data quality issues.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
  1. 5+ years in product management, digital analytics, marketing technology, or a similar role.
  2. Experience owning web analytics requirements for consumer web or ecommerce properties.
  3. Strong understanding of event-based tracking, data layers, event taxonomies, parameters, funnels, and conversion tracking.
  4. Experience writing tracking plans, event specs, product requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  5. Experience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  6. Working knowledge of tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager.
  7. Ability to partner closely with Engineering on front-end tracking and data layer implementation.
  8. Experience with analytics QA, debugging, and data quality monitoring.
  9. Understanding of privacy and consent requirements that affect web analytics.
  10. Strong communication skills and ability to keep cross-functional teams aligned.
  • Nice-to-haves:
  • Ecommerce analytics experience, especially cart, checkout, and purchase tracking.
  • Experience working across multiple brands, sites, or regions.
  • Hands-on debugging experience using browser dev tools, network logs, and analytics debuggers.
  • Familiarity with server-side tracking, consent mode, first-party data, or media platform event integrations.
  • Basic JavaScript or SQL knowledge for validation and troubleshooting.

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
