Job description

TactStaff Edu is hiring Math Teachers for multiple middle school and high school teaching opportunities in New Haven, Connecticut for the 2026โ€“2027 school year.


This is a full-time, onsite school-based position for a dedicated educator who is passionate about helping students build strong math skills and achieve their academic goals. We are looking for teachers who can create an engaging classroom environment, differentiate instruction, and work collaboratively with school staff.


Location: New Haven, Connecticut

School Level: Middle School & High School

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite

School Year: 2026โ€“2027

Position Type: School-Based Math Teacher

**A current Connecticut state teaching license is required to be considered for this position.**


Math Teacher Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality mathematics instruction to middle or high school students
  • Develop and deliver engaging daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum and student learning goals
  • Differentiate instruction to meet a range of academic and learning needs
  • Monitor student progress and use data to guide instruction
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and other school professionals
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required
  • Support students in developing problem-solving, critical-thinking, and mathematical reasoning skills


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
  • Current Connecticut state teaching license required (Mathematics Endorsement #229 OR Mathematics Endorsement #029)
  • Appropriate certification/endorsement to teach mathematics at the middle and/or high school level
  • Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to working collaboratively within a school community
  • Must be available to work onsite, full-time
