Essential Performance Responsibilities

Watertown Public Schools is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual able to effectively teach all fundamental aspects of Math to middle-school aged students by creating a well-rounded instructional program that promotes curiosity, perseverance, critical thinking and risk-taking.ย 

Essential Skills, Knowledge Performance Abilities

  • Monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance
  • Creating lesson toย include or make reference to objectives and other pertinent information
  • Organizing class activities to promote critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Adhering to district and school curriculum pacing and standards
  • Initiating and maintaining communications with parents and guardians
  • Regularly communicating with colleagues and administration about student needs and curriculum
  • Serving as a mentor and motivator for all students
  • Assure the effective utilization of textbooks and other instructional materials

Additional Duties

  • Performs all other duties that may be assigned by the Building Administrator(s).

Terms of Employment

  • $122.00 Substitute Rate per day for the first 10 consecutive days
  • $273.89 per day starting on the 11 day
  • Potential for salary lane change in the 41st consecutive day upon proof ofย  MA or MA-6th Year Degree
