Job description

Description
The Vanderbilt University Department of Mathematics invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position with a start date of Fall 2026. This position is a one-year, term-limited appointment with an expected teaching load of three courses per semester. This is a temporary position and is not on the tenure track. The successful applicant will contribute to the department's undergraduate teaching efforts, working with a team of teaching-focused and research faculty. Responsibilities include course instruction, coordination, and participation in curricular and instructional initiatives. Candidates with the ability to teach probability and statistics are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Candidates are required to have a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field awarded no later than August 1, 2026. We are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
