Data & Performance Test Engineer - Contract
Job Title: Data & Performance Test Engineer
Location: Roseville, CA (onsite)

  • Storage performance analysis and simulation experience (running, processing, validating simulations)
  • Knowledge of HPE storage systems (and general storage technologies)
  • MathCAD and MathCAD license-server familiarity
  • Excel expertise: plotting, graphing, parsing, macros, pivot tables, VBE/VBA, conditional formatting, custom VBA/VBE tools
  • Ability to produce custom plots and visualizations (multi-Y-axis time series, scaling plots, latency curves, multi-series comparisons)
  • Familiarity with MESOS and related dependencies for deploying and running simulation models
  • Scripting and automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Virtualization and server management: VMware (including VM essentials), Hyper-V (installations, conversions, tuning, memory allocation), active Synergy server blades
  • Experience with measured block and file object data, cubic spline, fabricated, simulated, and polynomial datasets
  • Knowledge of performance measurement tools (example: Vdbench, fio, IOmeter)
  • Experience with in-house simulation/processing toolchains (ASM/Array Simulation Modelling or similar) and GitHub-based deployments
