Job description

Position Title: Student Employee - Academic Tutor - Math &Writing

Hours: 10-15 hours per week (flexible schedule)

Location: Mesa Campus

Rate: AZ State minimum wage (federal work study preferred)

Position Summary:

Benedictine University at Mesa seeks a part-time Academic Tutor to providesupport in lower-level math and writing courses. The tutor will work withstudents individually and in small groups to strengthen foundational skills,improve academic confidence, and promote overall student success.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide tutoring in introductory math (such as pre-algebra and college algebra) and writing (including composition, grammar, and essay development).

2. Hold regular office hours on campus and schedule additional sessions as needed.

3.Assist students in developing effective study and learning strategies.
