About This Role

Middle School Math Teacher

Peachtree Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty because our current teacher is retiring. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about mathematics and committed to engaging students through critical thinking, problem-solving, and meaningful learning experiences. The teacher will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that promotes both academic excellence and character development within a Christ-centered community. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality instruction aligned with academic standards, fostering curiosity, and building a strong mathematical foundation for student success.


The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and committed to partnering with families and colleagues to support the mission of Peachtree Academy and inspire excellence in every student. The Middle School team of teachers is an outstanding group of educators who are passionate about their commitment to excellence in education. As veteran teachers, they are supportive and would be happy to welcome a new collaborative team member!


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach math courses for grades 6–8, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and possibly Geometry
  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
  • Use a variety of assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instruction
  • Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate actively in the school community, including attending staff meetings and school events
  • Offer afterschool tutoring, as needed to support student learning

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid or eligible teaching certification
  • Experience teaching middle school mathematics in an accredited school preferred
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
  • Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into instruction
  • Commitment to working in a Christ-centered educational environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division

The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
