Job description

Apogee School for the Gifted is looking for highly motivated upper-level teaching assistants for the 2022-2023 school year. The ideal candidate will have a background in math and science education and enjoys working with high ability adolescents ages 11-15.

Responsibilities of the Upper-Level Teaching Assistant will include:

  • Assisting in teaching math and science at the upper-level middle school and early high school levels.
  • Planning supplementary math and science lessons with the upper-level teacher.
  • Reporting directly to the upper-level teacher regarding lessons and student progress.
  • Working directly with students on study and organizational skills.
  • Serving as a fun, relatable mentor to students in the class.
