Position Title: High School Math Teacher
Position Duties: Responsible for challenging all students to achieve their personal best through rigorous, engaging, innovative progress that develop skills and knowledge for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship using the knowledge of Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education. Implements by instruction and action the District philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives using the knowledge Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; in harmony with the goals, establishes desired student performance objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and communicates these objectives to students using the knowledge of Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education. Assesses students to determine whether desired student performance objectives are being achieved using the knowledge of Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education. Evaluates, conscientiously and fairly, the accomplishments of students and provides progress reports as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation using the knowledge of Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education. Experience Requirements: The education/research and experience requirements for this position are a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, Mathematics, or related Science field as well as a Secondary Teaching Certificate Arizona Department of Education Math Certification. In addition, using the knowledge of Teaching Mathematics & Science; Educational Psychology of Learning & Development; School Organization & Technology of Teaching; and Philosophical Basis of Education is required to be able to perform the responsibilities of the position, and are common to the occupation. They are not restrictive requirements.
