The Role
As a Director, Publisher Growth, you will own and grow a portfolio of strategic publisher partnerships, driving revenue growth through commercial expansion, optimization, and long-term relationship management. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior partner stakeholders, you'll identify new monetization opportunities, lead complex commercial discussions, and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable business outcomes.
This is an individual contributor role responsible for managing high-impact publisher relationships while helping shape strategy across the Publisher Growth organization.
What You'll Do:
  • Own a portfolio of strategic publisher partnerships with responsibility for revenue growth and long-term account success.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies by identifying new monetization opportunities, placements, and product adoption.
  • Lead commercial conversations, contract renewals, and partnership expansions with senior stakeholders.
  • Leverage performance data and market insights to drive optimization recommendations and business decisions.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and strategic planning sessions with publisher partners.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to advocate for partner needs and execute growth initiatives.
  • Translate market feedback into product enhancements and strategic recommendations.
  • Support onboarding of new publisher opportunities and ensure successful long-term adoption.
  • Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert within the Publisher Growth team, sharing best practices and elevating team capabilities.
  • Represent adMarketplace externally as a trusted partner and industry expert.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years of account management, partner management, business development, or other client-facing experience.
  • Experience managing and growing publisher monetization partnerships across the digital advertising ecosystem, with exposure to performance-based commercial models including CPC and CPM.
  • Experience working with AI publishers and AI-powered integrations is a plus.
  • Expertise in data analysis, revenue projections, and opportunity assessment to identify and drive commercial growth opportunities.
  • Proven track record of growing strategic partnerships and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple strategic priorities simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of media math, publisher monetization models, and digital advertising metrics.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising and adtech landscape, including marketplace dynamics and publisher monetization strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

*Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 + Commission & Equity
