7-12 Reading and Math Interventionist
Menahga Public Schools
Menahga Public Schools is seeking a student-centered, relationship-driven educator to serve as a 7-12 Reading and Math Interventionist. This position focuses on providing targeted academic support and interventions for secondary students while building positive relationships that help students grow in confidence and achievement.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, collaborative, and passionate about helping all students succeed through individualized instruction, small group support, and intervention strategies.
Position Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted reading and math interventions for students in grades 7-12
  • Teach pull-out intervention classes for:
    • 7th and 8th grade Reading
    • 7th and 8th grade Math
  • Facilitate small group intervention opportunities for students in grades 9-12 in both reading and math
  • Use student data to identify skill gaps, monitor progress, and adjust instruction
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, counselors, and administration to support student success
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Support academic growth through differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
  • Maintain accurate progress monitoring and communication regarding student achievement

Qualifications
  • Valid Minnesota teaching license
  • Strong background in reading and/or math instruction and intervention
  • Experience working with middle and high school students preferred
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with students and staff
