Scope of Work
Oversees and directs electrical account management. Requires least 7 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this area
Forecasts project costs. Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. Determines necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures associated with electrical work. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required in this area
Responsibilities
Communicates directly with customers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling. Prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. Considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, labor and transportation for estimations.
Oversees field crews for quantity and quality of tasks performed on projects under the position’s oversight. This position is responsible for the budget of the project in terms of manpower and materials and may be required to order materials and schedule these items for delivery at the appropriate phases of the job.
Reviews drawings and advises CAD department of needed changes to these. Visits job sites to observe work and ensure it is in compliance with the specs of the project.
Position Requirements
Licenses/Certifications - Journeyman in field of expertise preferred
Education - High School Graduate
Experience - Requires least 7 years of experience in the field
Essential Duties
Skills: Computer and intermediate mathematical skills are required to conduct day to day business as a project manager. This position may require a working and functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite products which includes Word, Excel, Outlook. Other programs may have to be learned on the job such as quoting and bidding software, PDF editing programs, and other software as they are released to the industry.
Excellent communication skills are required to interface with the customers and work crews associated with each project.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position which may involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site. –
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
