The Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) team is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) that has experience in project management and will utilize this experience to be directly accountable for ensuring overall execution of materials management, ensuring program success to cost/schedule/quality, and managing supplier performance. This MPM will be the Supply Chain Lead for Capital projects and work closely with internal and external sources of supply, program management and other functional organizations to ensure supply chain is successful in the program's affordability initiatives. The MPM will be responsible for leading Design to Cost (DTC) and Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI) supply chain activities to ensure the Program Price to Win (PTW) targets are achieved. They will be responsible for execution of the Material Program Strategy (MPS) and the Material Program Plan (MPP) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance, from the front end of the business through contract closure. This role will serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain and the Program Integrated Product Team (IPT).
What You Will Do
  • Serve as the lead for capital supply chain activities, advise the Supply Chain Management team and the Capital Program Management Office leadership team on material strategies and plans.
  • Support development of clear and complete Statements of Work (SOWs) for equipment, tooling, or manufacturing systems with milestones built in to incentivize program/factory targets
  • Track capital supply chain budgets and material forecasting
  • Organize and track project deliverables, Key Performance Milestones (KPMs), and Supplier Data Requirements (SDRL) / Contract Data Requirements (CDRL)
  • Coordinate and lead various technical reviews with internal teams and suppliers; Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), etc.
  • Support supplier selection, proposal evaluations, and technical assessments during sourcing events.
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation plans to meet factory / capital team objectives.
  • Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations and finance
  • Domestic travel is required up to 20% of the time.
  • Apply Lean and 6 Sigma concepts to improve departmental, factory related, and cross-departmental processes.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Project Management, or related work experience.
  • Experience working with technical requirements and Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of capital equipment lifecycle: specification development, sourcing, supplier kickoff and factory acceptance.
  • Experience working with suppliers to ensure project deliverables, and commitments are achieved.
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
