Job description

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Materials Operations Manager. This position will be located at our Middlesex, NC facility. Relocation benefits will be provided within the United States only.
The Materials Operations Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside an Eaton factory in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process. In this role, you will manage and direct supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. This role is directly or functionally responsible for the following core processes:
• Scheduling production in the short-term horizon based on the S&OE processes.
• Maintaining Inventory Accuracy through accurate cycle counting.
• Movement of materials through the facility.
• Internal receipts, storage, distribution and transportation.
• Logistics activities for the site.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:
• Manage materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant's operations by deploying lean material flow.
• Administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.
• Generate short-term production scheduling aligned by the plan defined by the Network.
• Monitor execution of production schedule defined by the Network (schedule work on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan).
• Escalation of material availability to the COE and Network teams.
• Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the SIOP plan.
• Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team.
• Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments (MMA,OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping.
• Maintain target inventory levels and meet OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network.
• Own plant data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling.
• Point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in supply chain management.
• Minimum of one (1) year of manager of people experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Power Bi design experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of working in MFGPro.
• CPIM certification.
Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product.
• Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring and scheduling execution.
