Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; Supplemented by two years of experience in warehouse and inventory management or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to provide assistance with the handling, stocking, physical inventory, and delivery of supplies and materials. This series is distinguished from the Purchasing series by its focus on the warehousing, control, and release of equipment, materials, and supplies. Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position.

The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Loads, unloads, receives stocks, and stores parts, supplies, and materials.

Conducts physical inventory; places decals on items; records identification numbers. Delivers and retrieves supplies and materials and maintains records of deliveries. Operates a County vehicle to deliver supplies and materials to various site locations.

Maintains assigned storeroom, warehouse, and loading dock in a clean and orderly manner. Assists with placing orders and completing receiving documentation as required. Responds to customer questions and resolves problems as required.

Team Cohesion and Communication: Works closely with maintenance, operations, and procurement to meet material needs; Supports internal departments with timely, respectful, and solution-focused service; Helps new team members understand inventory procedures and equipment use. Safety and Risk Awareness: Identifies risks such as improper stacking, heavy lifting, or unsafe equipment use; Follows OSHA guidelines, facility rules, and safe material-handling practices; Ensures materials are stored securely to prevent damage or injury. Technical and Equipment Proficiency: Uses pallet jacks, forklifts, carts, and other tools safely and efficiently; Uses digital tracking systems, scanners, and databases to manage stock; Handles packaging, labeling, inspection, and documentation of incoming/outgoing materials.

Performance Aptitudes: Data Utilization: Requires the ability to determine, calculate, tabulate, or summarize data/information, following a prescribed plan requiring the exercise of some judgment. Includes performing subsequent actions in relation to these computational operations.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions.
