Job description

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Hourly Rate: $19 per hour plus a shift differential

Material Prep prepares the components for the layup line to build.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads/interprets schedules, pulls accurate materials/door skins, knowledge of material locations.
Read tickets/schedules to determine correct materials, counts /stacks skins onto cull board in correct orientation and in order of the schedule
Adds the correct amount of cull boards, reject bad cull boards, inspect and record reject skins, inspect and return skins to correct location
Records schedule # line # stack # date and initials on each stack of skins, flip over the top skin on skin stacks to be restocked.
Highlight/identify special cut skins on printed schedule, measure and set-up skins to cut to width and length based on chart specifications, must know all skin SKU's, be able to hold and cut up to 10+ skins at a time,
Uses tape measure use to 32th of an inch, validates accuracy of skins before/after cuts, complete quality inspection and preflipping skins in proper orientation, correct count, and in order of the schedule.
Other duties as assigned by leadership team.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of all skin species, attention to detail in identifying skin defects, quality specs, pass/no pass parameters, read/interpret tickets/schedules and read a tape measure.
Advanced knowledge of SKU's, material cut requirements, and coordinating material flow to/off skin lines.
Knowledge of procedures, order tracking process and documents, door types, use of tape measure. pull requirements for materials/doors from main warehouse, knowledge of table saw operation.
Excellent memory recall. Must have a high attention to detail.
Must be mechanically inclined and have good math and measurement skills.
Must read and write English.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.
The employee is frequently required to perform repetitive motions.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to feel or handle, and to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs with assistance, and is frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, walk, carry, and ability to at a fast pace and handle multiple parts, and to stand throughout entirety of shift.
The employee will be working in a facility with a high level of forklift traffic.
Intense and high level of concentration to focus on product quality and productivity.
Strong eye/hand coordination.
Ability to work in a mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions, with a significant amount of dust.
Good attendance and ability to work overtime and weekends when circumstances and workload requires, as assigned by management.
