Job description

This position provides materials and asset management support for both tissue and organ recovery activities in multiple locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Materials Management

  • Utilizes inventory management system and other methods to ensure accurate tracking of all clinical supplies.
  • Receives, inspects, stocks, and monitors the clinical supply inventory while adhering to regulatory compliance standards.
  • Reconciles materials ordered with materials received.
  • Works collaboratively with the Materials Management Program team to maintain appropriate PAR levels, including supplies and instrumentation for recovery.
  • Tracks inventory between multiple storage locations and staging areas.
  • Ensures inventory rotation to reduce likelihood of expired materials being available for use and prevent loss of inventory due to spoilage. Disposes of expired goods in accordance with LifeCenter policy and applicable regulation.
  • Ensures that materials are stored per manufacturerโ€™s recommended storage conditions unless otherwise stated in LifeCenter policy.
  • Prepares supply kits for surgical teams. Inspects and restocks unused supplies.
  • Accurately documents activities in accordance with LifeCenter policy including, results of incoming inspection, material logs, purchase orders, certificates of analysis, etc.
  • Delivers (by driving), ships and stores items in appropriate storage areas in multiple locations.
  • Works collaboratively with the department managers to ensure appropriate supplies and instruments are available for day-to-day operations.

Vehicle, Equipment, and Facility Maintenance

  • Assists with general vehicle maintenance and repairs, including drop off/pick up of vehicles.
  • Coordinates general facility maintenance.
  • Performs and documents quality control and general maintenance tasks (e.g. Calibration, cleaning of storage areas, etc.)
  • Performs facility cleaning duties as directed.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all hazardous materials.
  • Participates in internal and external audit activities as requested.

Supervision

  • This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participates in, and may lead, employee committees and events.
  • Complies with applicable laws, regulations, and LifeCenter policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated independent decision-making abilities, individual initiative, and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer equipment and software.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles, including labeling, counting and recording inventory accurately.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in supply chain, materials handling, or similar work preferred.
  • CPR Certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross, or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire.
  • Requires a valid driverโ€™s license and access to an insured automobile for work-related functions at expected times.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or applicable medical or religious exemption will be required as a condition of employment upon offer.

PAY RANGE

$27.55 - $39.96 Hourly

The pay range for this role is provided above. Where a candidateโ€™s compensation falls within this range is based on several bona fide factors such as experience, tenure, and other specialized knowledge. LifeCenter Northwest is committed to providing its employees equitable and competitive compensation.

This position is eligible for compensation in addition to the base pay in the form of overtime.
