Description
Virnig Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of high-quality skid steer attachments with over 35 years of industry experience. As we continue to grow, we are seeking Material Handlers to support production, inventory, receiving, kitting, and shipping operations at our Fort Madison facility.
This role is responsible for ensuring materials and parts are received, stored, moved, kitted, and shipped accurately and efficiently to support manufacturing operations. Successful candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Schedule
  • Starting wage: $25.50/hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Requirements
What You'll Do
  • Build and deliver weld and assembly kits according to production schedules
  • Supply production areas with materials and components as needed
  • Receive incoming materials and stock parts in designated locations
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer and production orders for shipment
  • Verify incoming inventory and report discrepancies
  • Accurately record inventory transactions and material movements in the ERP system
  • Maintain proper part identification and labeling throughout the facility
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Process shipments using company shipping systems and carrier portals
  • Support inventory accuracy through organization, cycle counts, and inventory control activities
  • Observe and report equipment issues or safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work overtime as required

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • General computer skills required
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Inventory, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience working with ERP systems is a plus
