Job description

CLARK Material Handling Company, is a 100 year old company, and a global leader in the material handling and forklift industry. CLARK is seeking qualified candidates to join our team.
The Production Material Coordinator will perform operations required for the procurement of production commodities required for the modification, maintenance, repair, and production of the CLARK operations. The required material must be available on time as needed to meet company goals and objectives for total cost, quality, inventory levels and requirements. A Production Material Coordinator reports to the Materials Manager. A Production Material Coordinator works with a cross-functional team which includes representatives from Manufacturing, Engineering, Order Entry, Quality, Finance, and Purchasing. This is an onsite position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers to procure inbound material.
  • Expedite part shortages to support ongoing production.
  • Assist in returning non-conforming parts to suppliers along with solving urgent quality problems.
  • Work with the cycle counters, material handlers, buyers, and accounting to reconcile invoices.
  • Manage inventory levels by aligning inbound to match production schedules, and coordinate supplier transitions.
  • Prioritize and handle various tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of computerized systems pertaining to Order Entry, Project Requirements Planning, Bills of Material, Shop Floor Control, Master Production Planning, Inventory Control and Material Requirements Planning.
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Participate as a team member in work, meetings and other functions such as transferring information to others, improving working relationships with co-workers contributing to team success.
  • Support company policies and demonstrate concern for the success of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two-year college degree desired, with 3-5 years' experience in supporting manufacturing through planning.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of confidence and energy level.
  • Efficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to problem solve, take supervision and direction from Managers at all levels.
  • Analytical skills to review data and make good decisions.
  • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the US.
