Job Description

As a Material Damage Claims Adjuster you will be responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.

We are seeking a Material Damage Claims Adjuster who is preferably located in the Central or Mountain time zones. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, highly organized, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will bring strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience handling auto liability claims, conducting coverage investigations, and maintaining full ownership of claims from initial review through resolution. This role requires the ability to make sound decisions, provide exceptional customer support, and navigate different claim scenarios with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome

Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage

Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills

Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle

Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department

Handles investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory duties.

As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. By proceeding with the application process, applicants acknowledge and accept these licensing requirements and agree to comply.

Base compensation offered for this role is:
Adjuster Analyst II: $47,500.00 - $61,600
Adjuster Analyst III: $50,000.00 - $65,300.00
Adjuster Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00/salary
Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00/salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
