Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Date: 03/01/2018

Position Description: Statement of the major duties, responsibilities, and supervisory relationships of a position. In its simplest form, indicate the work to be performed by the position (NOT THE ASSOCIATE).

Coordinates the distribution of materials for production. Responsible for the physical storage and the issuing of materials and parts use in production; the accurate maintenance of physical inventory and records of all assigned materials and parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The purpose is to document the major duties and responsibilities of a position (not the associate), spell out in detail every possible activity during the work day.

Per work orders, prepares the production materials needed for a job and issues to the production floor

Maintains physical inventory of all assigned parts and production materials

Maintains inventory storage to ensure logical, accurate and efficient storing and pulling of inventory

Conducts physical inventory (cycle, annual, etc.) as scheduled and required

Inputs all appropriate detail into ERP system or other computer programs in a timely manner to maintain an accurate data base, produce accurate reports and to track inventory data

Work order releases

Daily inventory transactions

Checks Bills of Material to make sure all required parts are available or on order, coordinates with purchasing and engineering departments to resolve problems

Practices lean strategies to reduce inventory, scrap and waste

Returns overstocked materials and disposes of obsolete materials

Assists in the set up and maintenance Kanban systems

Runs required reports in order to assure accuracy, resolves problems and reports to management

Follows all safety requirements and works with safety in mind

Use of safe fork truck techniques to protect people, property and materials

Maintains awareness of hazardous areas and situations, immediately notifies team leader or supervisor of any quality or safety problems, concerns or delays

Works cooperatively with others in a continuous improvement environment; attends and participates in team meetings, helps others as needed

Responsible for housekeeping, order and neatness of the storage areas

Advises Supervisor of any maintenance work. Maintain an orderly and safe work environment

Suggests methods improvements or alternate methods and materials to reduce cost and/or improve quality

Receives all incoming materials for the business unit, delivers to appropriate storage or use, and prepares daily receiving transactions
