Job description

Job Title: Material Handler II

Location: Westford, MA (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Job Summary

The Material Handler II is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, performing material movements, supporting manufacturing operations, and ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate production areas in a timely manner. This role requires working in a regulated manufacturing environment while following quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform physical and system-based material movements.

Generate and process work orders using an ERP system.

Complete work order receipts in the ERP system.

Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.

Support the movement of materials through manufacturing and assembly.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production.

Handle chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and sulfuric acid after receiving proper training.

Work overtime as required to meet business needs.

Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory compliance.

Comply with FDA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 1 year of inventory control experience, preferably in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, medical device, or related industry).

Experience with ERP systems for inventory and work order processing.

Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and material handling.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.
