Job description

We are looking for a Director of Information Technology. As the Director of IT, you will oversee and direct all aspects of the Information Technology (IT) department.


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning and implementation of new technologies. Crafts strategic plan in concert with the leadership team. Sets goals and provides input for long-term planning.
  • Internal IT Business Systems and applications maintenance and support.
  • Responsible for budgeting, planning, implementation, and management of multiple data centers and remote branch offices.
  • Maintenance and operational stability for the organization’s online Product Portfolio, strategic planning and implementation of new technologies, and quality assurance for all aspects of these systems.
  • Staff, contractor, and consultants hiring, development, and training
  • Prepares annual budget, sets policy, and reviews performance for all department staff.
  • Embrace ITIL, and ITSM frameworks to provide measurement along with reporting of availability to achieve 99.9% uptime for data center resources.
  • Achieve and maintain ISO 2700x certification for data center and business operations.

Education:

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science and/or Business Management with an emphasis on Computer Sciences. (Managerial/professional work experience may be substituted for an advanced degree.)
  • Formal education, certificate programs encompassing Managerial Practices, Personnel Management, IT Project Planning, and Quality Assurance Practices.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of information technology and/or software engineering experience. Fifteen or more are preferred. 7 years of management experience.

The total staff and contractors will average 25 to 30 individuals.

This is a full-time, in-office role located at our San Diego headquarters: 16067 Babcock Street, San Diego, CA 92127

The expected hiring range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses, benefits, and other company-sponsored programs.
