Job description

Duty Days:  187
Pay Grade:  104

Librarian Qualifications:                    




  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas school librarian certificate or endorsement

    OR

Literacy Media Specialist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas Teacher certification
  • Must be enrolled in a Master's degree in Library Science program through a Texas-accredited university with a deficiency plan, OR
    • If you already have a Master's degree, enrolled in the School Library Certification program, 6 hours at a Texas-accredited university
  • Must pass the School Librarian's TExES (Texas Examination of Educator Standards) after completing a Master's in Library Science degree or School Library certificate requirements, within three (3) years upon entering into the position
  • Minimum of two (2) years of classroom experience
