Job description

Library Aide

Manage the school library/media center. Provide resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information in library.

Creating and maintaining the campus library schedule, planning and facilitating engaging library lessons and activities for Pre-K students, promoting early literacy and a love of reading, and maintaining an organized, welcoming library environment. The Library Aide works collaboratively with teachers to support classroom instruction and foster meaningful learning experiences for all students. Work under supervision of certified Librarian Coordinator.

Accredited high school diploma or GED

Vaid Texas educational aide certificate

Knowledge of library service

Instruct and manage student behavior

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well with children

Ability to communicate effectively

Preferred minimum of 3 years as an Instructional Aide
