THE ROLE
The Odom Corporation is seeking an HR Generalist to support employees and managers across our Washington operations. This position serves as a trusted HR resource, helping deliver a positive employee experience while supporting workforce initiatives, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. The role is based in Spokane, WA and partners closely with HR leadership and operational teams throughout the region.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Workforce & Manager Support
  • Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and leaders, providing guidance on HR programs, policies, and employment practices.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, communication, retention, and workforce initiatives.
  • Assist managers with staffing, performance management, attendance, and employee development matters.
  • Promote manager capability through coaching, resource support, and policy interpretation.
  • Support implementation of HR programs, training initiatives, and organizational projects.

Employee Lifecyle Administration
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, job changes, and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure timely processing of HR transactions.
  • Support employee communications and HR documentation requirements.
  • Ensure workforce data is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company standards.

Recruiting Support
  • Assist managers with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring activities.
  • Coordinate pre-employment, onboarding, and new hire processes.
  • Support candidate and hiring manager communications throughout the hiring process.
  • Identify staffing challenges and communicate workforce needs to HR leadership.

Employee Relations & Issue Resolution
  • Assist with investigations, performance issues, corrective actions, and employee relations matters.
  • Advise leaders on performance management, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
  • Support conflict resolution and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk matters to the HR Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner, or HR leadership.

Compliance, Risk, and Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Support compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with audits, investigations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Partner with HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Safety, Payroll, and operational leaders to support workforce needs.
  • Identify potential employee relations, policy, or compliance concerns and elevate issues appropriately.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of Human Resources experience in a generalist, specialist, coordinator, administrative, or related capacity
  • Experience working with confidential information and maintaining discretion
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience supporting employees and managers in a multi-site or operational environment.
  • Experience with HRIS and workforce management systems.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or progress toward certification.
