Job description

Overview
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resource functions, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training, and HR policy implementation. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers while helping ensure HR practices align with company goals and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the HR Director and HR Manager with key department initiatives.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Audit benefits leading into open enrollment and periodically throughout the year.
  • Support payroll by providing help desk support during system outages and on payroll processing days, as needed.
  • Address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including evaluations and development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Coordinate employee training and professional development initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for management.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of human resources, business administration or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with major HRIS platforms (ADP Vantage preferred).
  • Knowledge of HR and payroll compliance requirements (e.g., EEO-1, FLSA, ACA) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
