Regent University's School of Divinity is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Christian Ministry/Practical Theology. This position will be located at Regent University's Virginia Beach, VA campus.
Regent University is one of the nation's leading academic centers for Christian thought and action, offering over 150 associate, bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees and enrolling more than 13,000 students worldwide. Regent offers high-quality, in-demand and affordable degree programs while remaining committed to its foundational mission to educate Christian leaders to change the world.
Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Qualifications: Ordained minister with at least five years of pastoral experience in the local church. Teaching experience in higher education at the undergraduate level with master's and doctoral teaching experience is a plus. A track record of scholarly research in Christian Ministry or Practical Theology. Applied or academic doctoral degree in Christian Ministry or Practical Theology (D.Min., Ph.D., etc.)
Expectations include 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) evidence of faithful and fruitful ministry focused on the proclamation of Christ (Colossians 1:28) and done in "in demonstration of the Spirit..." (1 Corinthians 2:4); 3) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 4) the ability to teach graduate-level courses; 4) familiarity with online instructional technology; and 5) a willingness to embrace the School of Divinity and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to Regent University's statement of faith.
