Make a Difference at Grand Canyon University

Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an adjunct faculty member within the College of Theology. For those with a passion for ministry and helping others through Christ, the College of Theology offers bachelor and master's degrees in Christian Studies. Specializations include Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership.

As an adjunct faculty member, you'll provide in-person program instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction, we'd like to hear from you.

Important Details:

  • This position will be located at Fort Leonard Wood(316 Missouri Ave, Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473)
  • Candidates will need to be on-site one day per week (excluding Friday) from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST)

Course:Christian Worldview

A worldview acts like glasses through which one views the world. In this course, students explore the big questions that make up a worldview, questions like "Why are we here?" and "What is my purpose?" Students examine how Christians answer these questions and work on exploring their own worldviews, as well as learning how worldview influences one's perceptions, decision making, and everyday life.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Divinity (PhD preferred) or Masters in Theology or Masters in Christian Studies from a regionally accredited college or university with coursework in New and Old Testament.

  • AND 2 or more years professional experience teaching Christian Worldview or apologetics at the postsecondary level.
