Attributes We Value

You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you're motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.
You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you "get stuff done" end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you'll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let's build what's next.
About the team
Our Growth Team sits at the heart of Airwallex's mission, focusing on user acquisition and strategic market expansion. We leverage data and cutting-edge technologies to craft seamless, intuitive experiences that help millions of users discover, engage with, and benefit from our products.
From new-user funnels to onboarding optimizations, our Growth team is all about experimentation, rapid iteration, and driving sustainable business impact. Whether it's designing scalable architectures for high-traffic pages, building robust A/B testing frameworks, or integrating global marketing platforms, the Growth team's contributions directly shape how we attract and retain customers worldwide.
Joining the Growth team means you'll have a front-row seat to the most crucial stage of our product lifecycle and play a pivotal role in fueling the next wave of our global expansion.
What you'll do
As a Frontend Engineer within the Growth team, you will architect and build scalable, high-performance frontend solutions that power growth funnels, landing pages, and marketing campaigns. You will drive experimentation, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and enable data-driven strategies that shape how we acquire and engage users globally.
This role is based in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance highly scalable, performance-driven frontend solutions using React and TypeScript for growth initiatives, including landing pages and marketing campaigns.
  • Write well-tested, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring robust performance and smooth user experiences.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to track and interpret critical user behavior metrics, supporting A/B testing, feature flagging, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Work closely with Design, Product, and Marketing teams to deliver intuitive, delightful user interfaces and continuously refine key user journey flows to increase conversions and reduce friction.
  • Develop rapid prototypes to validate new ideas or hypotheses related to user acquisition and engagement; use insights to iterate quickly.
  • Champion frontend best practices, uphold high standards of code quality, and drive technical leadership and architectural decisions for growth-focused products.
  • Integrate secure coding practices and frameworks to protect user data and proactively identify and address potential vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with global regulations.

Who you are
We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:
  • 6+ years of professional frontend software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong foundation in TypeScript and front-end frameworks like React, with an ability to craft clean, modular, and maintainable code.
  • Experience with user-centric development, user research, and design thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive data-driven projects, including A/B testing and funnel optimization.
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams-providing mentorship and supporting peers.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and a proactive approach to privacy and compliance.
  • Strong communicator with an ownership mentality; self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to take on challenges and deliver impactful solutions.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience designing scalable architectures for high-traffic web applications, integrating marketing platforms, or building analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of feature flag systems, rapid prototyping, or experimentation frameworks.
  • Exposure to global privacy standards and compliance requirements.
