Director, Product Portfolio Management - Infectious Disease

Labcorp is seeking a Director, Product Portfolio Management, Infectious Disease to join our team in Burlington, NC or Durham, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product and portfolio lifecycle strategy, forecasting, and roadmap development.

  • Apply deep diseasedomain expertise, regulatory insight, and strong business acumen to advance adoption and drive profitability, margin expansion, and overall portfolio performance.

  • Monitor scientific, regulatory, and competitive developments to inform portfolio direction.

  • Lead development of product business cases, including market sizing and growth projections, total cost estimation, business goals, operational workflows, outcomes, and functional requirements.

  • Serve as the commercial representative for assigned products across scientific, operational, and market access teams.

  • Manage strategic partnerships that expand product capabilities, drive distribution, and unlock new revenue streams

  • Serve as a spokesperson who clearly articulates the product vision to partners and internal teams.

  • Represent customer voice in strategic committees and facilitate alignment on product evolution, pricing, and gotomarket strategy.

  • Partner with Marketing to support differentiation strategy and thought leadership priorities.

  • Lead and ensure operational readiness for product launches and acquisitions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 7 or more years of experience in product management and/or portfolio strategy within diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master of Science, Master of Public Health, or Master of Business Administration).

  • 5 or more years' experience with diagnostics commercialization and regulatory pathways.

  • 5 or more years' experience with market access/payor policies for diagnostics.

  • 5 or more years' experience in Infectious Disease.

Within Diagnostic Marketing, the Director, Product Portfolio Management, Infectious Disease leads portfolio strategy, commercialization excellence, and lifecycle management to ensure successful product performance, launches, and enhancements. This role aligns cross functional stakeholders, represents the commercial perspective across R&D, Operations, and Market Access, and drives forecasting, resource planning, and operational efficiency. The director translates customer and business insights into portfolio decisions that expand margins, strengthen competitiveness, and support profitable growth.

Applicants will follow a hybrid schedule that includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.
