Job Description Computer Application Support Specialist (Senior/Junior) Location: Petawawa, ON (100% On-Site) Duration: August 10, 2026 - March 31, 2027 Position Type: Contract About the Opportunity Our client, a government organization, is seeking experienced Computer Application Support Specialists to provide onsite IT service desk and desktop support within a secure enterprise environment. We have 4 openings available. The successful candidate will deliver first-line technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, and ensure the efficient operation of desktop systems and network-connected devices.

Available Positions 1 x Senior Computer Application Support Specialist (English) - Reliability Status 1 x Senior Computer Application Support Specialist (Bilingual French/English) - Reliability Status 2 x Senior Computer Application Support Specialists (English) - Level II Secret Clearance Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PCs, printers, operating systems, and enterprise applications. Deliver remote technical support using remote access tools.

Configure, install, and maintain desktop hardware and software. Perform user account administration, including account creation, modifications, moves, and access management. Administer Active Directory files, users, groups, and objects.

Support cloud-based applications and related end-user issues. Configure and maintain network software while ensuring compatibility with enterprise hardware, utilities, and operating systems. Monitor and manage service requests using an IT service management (ITSM) ticketing system.

Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities in accordance with established procedures. Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve escalated issues while maintaining excellent customer service. Qualifications Experience providing first-line IT service desk or desktop support.

Strong troubleshooting skills supporting Windows desktops, printers, CPUs, and peripheral devices. Experience working in a networked enterprise environment. Knowledge of operating systems, enterprise software, communication protocols, and desktop hardware.

Experience supporting users through remote connection tools. Experience with user account administration, including account creation, modification, and deactivation. Experience managing Active Directory users, groups, files, and objects.

Experience supporting cloud-based applications. Experience using IT service management/ticketing systems (experience with Assyst is considered a strong asset). Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Must be available for the full contract term (August 10, 2026 - March 31, 2027). Ability to work 100% onsite in Petawawa, Ontario.

English communication skills are required; one position requires bilingual French/English proficiency. Must possess one of the following valid Government of Canada security clearances: Reliability Status Level II (Secret)
