Description

We are hiring aย Senior Scrum Master - DevOps & Quality Assuranceย to facilitate Agile/Scrum processes and provide organizational leadership for a high-performing data parsing and software development team. This role will help the team deliver robust, scalable parsing tools and capabilities for integration into customer systems. The successful candidate will remove impediments, promote Agile best practices, track team performance, and communicate progress and risks to technical and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily/weekly Scrum meetings, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Coach the team on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Track team metrics, including velocity, sprint progress, and open/closed tickets.
  • Identify and remove impediments that impact team productivity, quality, or delivery.
  • Manage and maintain team backlogs using Jira or similar Agile tools.
  • Coordinate with the SME and Product Owner on task assignment, prioritization, and sprint objectives.
  • Prepare Weekly Scrum Master Reports and Quarterly Scrum Master Progress Reports for technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Monitor team progress, risks, and delivery commitments, communicating issues and recommended solutions as needed.
  • Foster collaboration across software development, DevOps, QA, and customer teams.
  • Mentor team members and promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, R&D, or related technical environments.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification required.
  • Strong experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
  • Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to track team metrics, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Self-driven with the ability to mentor team members and work effectively across technical teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain anย active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work inย McLean, VA; Huntsville, AL; or remotely, as required by the program.
