You Are: Data Conversion Developer

The Work:

The Data Conversion Developer is responsible for designing, developing, validating, and deploying data‑migration components that move legacy system data into Oracle Cloud ERP. This role builds repeatable, automated, and high‑quality ETL/ELT processes, performs detailed mapping, and partners with functional teams to ensure migrated data is accurate, complete, and compliant. The developer plays a key role in cutover readiness, mock‑conversion cycles, and production‑migration activities, supporting enterprise transition from legacy platforms to Oracle Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with functional leads to define data‑mapping requirements, transformation logic, and conversion rules across Financials, SCM, HCM, and Projects
  • Analyze legacy system structures to identify gaps, cleansing needs, dependencies, and constraints
  • Produce detailed mapping specifications and conversion‑design documents aligned with Oracle templates and staging standards
  • Build conversion programs using SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Cloud FBDI, APIs, REST services, and staging‑table automation approaches
  • Generate automated load scripts and low‑code SQL packages consistent with Oracle and project accelerators
  • Prepare conversion scripts, sequence plans, dependency charts, and cutover runbooks
  • Execute production data loads, troubleshoot issues, and validate migrated records
  • Coordinate with functional teams on post‑conversion checks, reconciliation, and business acceptance

Here's What You Need:

  • Experience developing Oracle Cloud or Oracle EBS conversion programs (SQL, PL/SQL, FBDI, ADF DI, APIs, REST)
  • Strong understanding of relational‑database design, data modeling, and structured ETL development
  • Knowledge of financial or supply‑chain master‑data structures, transactional flows, and Oracle staging templates
  • Experience supporting mock conversions, validation cycles, and production cutovers
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities

Bonus Points If:

  • Experience building reusable conversion frameworks or accelerators
  • Background in large‑scale ERP modernization or multi‑phase migration programs
  • Familiarity with automation of reconciliation or post‑load validation
