Notre client est une firme de génie-conseil reconnue pour son expertise en inspection, en évaluation et en réhabilitation de bâtiments existants. Dans le cadre de la croissance de son département Bâtiment, notre client souhaite recruter un(e) Ingénieur(e) senior / Chargé(e) de projets qui jouera un rôle clé dans la réalisation de mandats spécialisés ainsi que dans le développement de l'équipe.
Cette opportunité s'adresse à un professionnel autonome désirant évoluer dans un environnement dynamique où la qualité technique, la collaboration et le service à la clientèle sont au cœur des priorités.
Votre rôle
Vous prendrez en charge de façon autonome des mandats d'inspection, d'évaluation et de gestion de projets portant principalement sur les façades, les stationnements et les bâtiments existants.
Vos principales responsabilités seront de :
- Planifier et réaliser des inspections détaillées de façades, de stationnements étagés et d'autres composantes de bâtiments existants;
- Effectuer les inspections réglementaires conformément aux exigences applicables;
- Évaluer l'état des structures de béton, de maçonnerie, des éléments métalliques et des composantes de l'enveloppe des bâtiments;
- Identifier les conditions pouvant représenter un risque pour la sécurité des occupants ou du public;
- Préparer, réviser, signer et sceller les rapports professionnels lorsque requis;
- Élaborer des recommandations techniques, des programmes de réparation et des estimations préliminaires des coûts;
- Assurer le suivi des échéanciers, des budgets et des exigences réglementaires applicables;
- Coordonner les mandats et assurer les communications avec les clients, les entrepreneurs, les professionnels et les autres intervenants;
- Superviser et accompagner les membres plus juniors de l'équipe;
- Participer à la préparation de documents techniques et administratifs;
- Contribuer activement au développement du département et à l'amélioration continue des pratiques.
Des déplacements réguliers sur différents sites dans la grande région de Montréal sont à prévoir.
Profil recherché
Nous recherchons un professionnel possédant une solide expérience en génie-conseil et en inspection de bâtiments existants.
Les qualifications recherchées comprennent :
- Baccalauréat en génie civil, en génie du bâtiment ou dans une discipline connexe;
- Membre en règle de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Environ cinq années ou plus d'expérience pertinente en génie-conseil;
- Expérience significative en inspection de façades, de stationnements étagés, de structures de béton ou en réhabilitation de bâtiments;
- Excellente capacité d'analyse, d'organisation et de gestion de projets;
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs mandats simultanément et à travailler de façon autonome.
Seront considérés comme des atouts :
- Une expérience en gestion de projets multidisciplinaires;

Our client is a respected engineering consulting firm specializing in the inspection, evaluation and rehabilitation of existing buildings. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Engineer / Project Manager to play a key role in delivering specialized inspection mandates while contributing to the development of the Building Division.
This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic consulting environment.
Responsibilities
You will independently manage a variety of inspection and engineering projects related primarily to building façades, parking structures and existing buildings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and carry out detailed inspections of building façades, parking structures and other existing building components;
- Perform regulatory inspections in accordance with applicable building requirements;
- Evaluate the condition of concrete, masonry, steel and building envelope systems;
- Identify conditions that may present safety risks to occupants or the public;
- Prepare, review, sign and seal professional engineering reports where required;
- Develop repair recommendations, rehabilitation programs and preliminary cost estimates;
- Manage project schedules, budgets and regulatory requirements;
- Coordinate projects and maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, architects, engineers and other stakeholders;
- Supervise and mentor junior technical staff;
- Prepare technical and administrative project documentation;
- Contribute to the continued growth and technical development of the Building Division.
Regular travel to project sites throughout the Greater Montreal area is required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in consulting engineering and existing building inspections.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline;
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Approximately five or more years of relevant consulting engineering experience;
- Demonstrated experience inspecting building façades, parking structures, concrete structures or rehabilitation projects;
- Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
The following would be considered assets:
- Experience leading multidisciplinary projects;
- Experience mentoring junior professionals;
- Expertise in building rehabilitation and restoration projects.
