Ce role est au cur de la reussite des projets, en supervisant les activites de construction depuis la preparation initiale du site jusqu'a l'installation, les essais et la mise en service d'equipements haute tension.

En tant que responsable principal sur le site, vous agirez comme point de contact privilegie aupres des clients et des parties prenantes locales, tout en coordonnant les soustraitants, les equipes internes et les autorites reglementaires. Vous veillerez a ce que les projets soient livres en toute securite, dans les delais, dans le respect du budget et en conformite avec les exigences contractuelles, reglementaires et de qualite.

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy - Montreal is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead onsite execution of critical power generation and power grid projects across Quebec. This role is central to project success, overseeing construction activities from early site preparation through installation, testing, and commissioning of highvoltage equipment.

You will own site execution endtoend, serving as the primary point of contact for customers and local stakeholders while coordinating subcontractors, internal teams, and regulatory authorities. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.

How you'll make an impact
  • Act as the primary site interface with customers, local authorities, and external stakeholders.

  • Drive site change management, including variation orders and subcontractor followups.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities per contractual requirements.
  • Promote and enforce strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on site.
  • Ensure quality execution and proper creation, tracking, and archiving of site records and documentation.
  • Deliver site activities in line with contractual schedules, cost targets, and customer expectations.
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Site Manager in Quebec, ideally in energy, power grids, or heavy infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in civil works, installation, and/or commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, commercial terms, and site cost control.
  • Relevant HSE knowledge and certifications.
  • Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
