The Service Technician Floater floats to various properties in the Avanti portfolio and is responsible for keeping the appearance and operations of the property in excellent condition, both inside and out. Daily responsibilities include making ready units for new move-ins, performing work orders (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), appliance repairs, unit inspections, updating logs as needed, and exterior maintenance. This role will respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call) as well.


What You’ll Do…

  • Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
  • Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
  • Complete grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements when possible.
  • Manage Snow removal (CO, KS, UT) or Hurricane Preparation and Clean up (FL).
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills and maintains clear, professional communication with residents, vendors and team members
Requirements:

What You Need to Succeed…

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience required.
  • OSHA, EPA, and CPO license/certifications preferred.
  • Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
