Job Description
Marymount School is seeking an energetic and encouraging Head Freshman Volleyball Coach to lead its freshman girls volleyball team during the Fall 2026 season. This position is perfect for a coach who enjoys teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and creating a positive first high school athletic experience for student-athletes.
The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic, and committed to helping players improve both individually and as teammates while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, effort, and growth.
Schedule
  • Monday: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday: Off
  • Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: Off
  • Friday: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead engaging practices focused on skill development
  • Coach all freshman team matches
  • Teach volleyball fundamentals, teamwork, and game strategy
  • Build positive relationships with student-athletes
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture
  • Communicate effectively with families and the athletic department
Qualifications
  • Previous volleyball coaching and/or competitive playing experience
  • Experience working with youth or high school athletes preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes
