JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a MarTech Engineer with strong techno-functional expertise, combining tag management, digital analytics implementation, and business analysis capabilities. This role will focus on designing and implementing client-side and server-side tagging solutions, while also acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams to define tracking requirements, data strategies, and measurement frameworks. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end ownership from requirements gathering ? solution design ? implementation ? validation, ensuring scalable, high-quality data collection across analytics and marketing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Tag Management & Technical Implementation
Design and implement tagging solutions using: Adobe Launch (client-side) Google Tag Manager (client-side & server-side)
Configure rules, data elements, triggers, events, and extensions
Build and maintain server-side tagging implementations for scalability and performance
Implement and manage third-party media pixels (Floodlights, Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Ensure tagging follows best practices for performance, governance, and maintainability
Analytics Implementation & Data Enablement
Own implementation and configuration of: Adobe Analytics Google Analytics (GA4)
Define event tracking strategy, variable mapping, and measurement frameworks
Support reporting requirements through proper data capture and validation
Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies across platforms
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Partner with business stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Analytics) to:
Gather and document business requirements for analytics and tagging
Translate business needs into clear technical tracking specifications (BRDs / TRDs)
Define: Measurement strategies (KPIs, events, dimensions, metrics)
Tracking requirements aligned with business use cases
Drive requirement grooming, prioritization, and backlog management
Act as a liaison between: Business teams (what needs to be tracked) Engineering/MarTech team (how it gets implemented)
Data Layer Design & Integration
Define and maintain scalable data layer architecture
Work with engineering teams to ensure correct implementation of data layer specifications
Ensure consistent data flow across: Analytics tools Tag managers Marketing/ad platforms
QA, Validation & Governance
Perform end-to-end validation of: Analytics implementation Tagging Media pixels
Use debugging tools to validate data accuracy (network calls, browser tools, etc.)
Define data governance standards: Naming conventions Documentation Change management
Ensure compliance with privacy and consent requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics teams
Provide: Feasibility analysis Solution design recommendations Effort estimates
Support Agile ceremonies (story refinement, sprint planning, UAT support)
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience in digital analytics, tag management, or MarTech
Strong hands-on experience with: Adobe Launch Google Tag Manager (Client & Server Side)
Strong expertise in: Adobe Analytics implementation and reporting Google Analytics (GA4)
Strong experience in business analysis / requirement gathering
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Strong knowledge of: Data layer design Event tracking frameworks
Proficiency in: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Google Marketing Platform: CM360 (Floodlights), DV360, Google Ads
Experience with: Facebook Ads / LinkedIn Campaign Manager
Knowledge of: Server-side tagging (GTM Server Container)
Experience with: Adobe Target implementation via Adobe Launch Activities, profile scripts, VEC/Form-based composer
Familiarity with: LiveRamp / audience activation platforms
Exposure to CDP / personalization ecosystems
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance technical execution + business alignment
Experience working in Agile / product-based delivery models
Strong documentation and solution design skills
