This is a part-time position requiring weekend availability.
This position is eligible for discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.
SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate for this position will provide the highest level of service for all our guests. This position includes monitoring the organization of vehicle keys in accordance with our policies for all valet parked vehicles, as well as utilizing our point of sales system for our marketplace. The applicant must have a teamwork attitude and strong attention to details, skills necessary to ensure exceptional customer service experiences in all interactions with guests and other employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Marketplace:
• Responsible for store presentation and cleanliness-following daily checklists.
• Cleans, maintains and organizes the JW Marketplace, the storage areas, and the stockroom on a daily basis during respective shifts.
• Responsible for establishing effective sales techniques that is consistent with the atmosphere of the JW Marketplace
• Understanding of Marriott Standard Operating Procedures with retail operations.
• Receives merchandise as it arrives under the direction of the Rooms Division Manager and Purchasing according to established ticketing, and check in procedures (denoting damages, substitutions, submitting packing slips, etc.)
• Participates in inventories twice a week.
• Provide the customer with thorough knowledge of the merchandise.
• Accommodate the customer's purchasing requests.
• Makes the accurate cash drops at the end of each assigned shift.
Valet:
• Responsible for entering keys of valet parked cars into our AVPM system.
• Take payment for transient guest parking
• Maintain an organized workstation
• Monitor inventories and reports needs to Rooms Division Manager
• Maintains and follows through on all paperwork such as requisitions, completed checklists,
• Maintains effective two-way communication between sales staff and Rooms Division department.
• Maintains and balances cash bank accurately at the issued amount at the end of each assigned shift.
• Prepares reports accurately at the end of each assigned shift.
• Makes the accurate cash drops at the end of each assigned shift.
• Provide the customer with the highest level of individualized, gracious and professional service.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Ability to execute retail strategy and standards
• Knowledge of all retail standards - Core Products, Visual Merchandising
• Ability to maintain department accounting procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
