Job description

Position Information:
With outstanding customer service and professional presentation, the Valet Runner is responsible for providing valet parking service in a safe, expeditious manner.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a positive attitude and smile when interacting with guests.
  • Park guest's vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws.
  • Keep vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic moving as needed to avoid backups.
  • Collect and accurately label keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return.
  • Resolve customer requests, questions, and complaints with integrity and poise, provide information on parking procedures and/or policies.
  • Open doors and lift, carry, and/or remove items from vehicle as requested by guests.
  • Actively look for ways to assist guests.
  • Provide courtesy shuttle service as needed.
  • Maintain accurate information about all events to properly respond to guest inquiries.
  • Attend training classes as directed by supervisor.
  • Keep the assigned area clean.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • High school diploma, or the equivalent preferred.

Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Clean driving record and background.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Experience driving vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts/hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at varying locations.
  • Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
  • Pervious valet experience required.
  • Must present a professional, friendly image and appearance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and information in English.
  • Ability to use personal computer and hand-held applications.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast pace and high-volume environment.
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Demands:
  • Finger and hand dexterity.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Ability to tolerate noise levels that are distracting and/or uncomfortable.
  • Ability to tolerate various smells are distracting and/or uncomfortable, including but not limited to second hand smoke.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extremes of hot or cold in addition to wet environments.
  • Job requires the following motions: climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, occasional lifting; up to 75 pounds, stretching, sitting, walking on uneven ground and stairs.
