Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

Courtyard by Marriott - High Point is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Point, NC.

This person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all equipment in a commercial building.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and recognize problems on equipment or its operation.
  • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers.
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures, (e.g. landscaping, wallpaper repairs, knowledgable with tools preferably electrical tools, snaking drains, not afraid of heights.)
  • Other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, plumbing, repairs, perform Room Preventative Maintenance on guest rooms etc.)
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and outdoors.
  • Must be able to travel when necessary to different locations.
