Job description

Who We Are

adMarketplace is the largest global marketplace for Native Search advertising. For over 25 years, we’ve connected brands with consumers at the moment they express commercial intent beyond legacy search engines.

Today, our Native Search solutions are exclusively integrated across next-generation platforms where discovery happens, including web browsers, Buy Now Pay Later apps, and AI chat surfaces. Powered by vector search technology, our platform delivers relevant text and product ads that match consumers with the brands, products, and offers they’re actively seeking.

Our award‑winning culture is grounded in the principles of Curiosity, Collaboration, Creative Conflict, Commitment, and Competitiveness – our 5Cs. These values drive us to turn complexity into clarity and create measurable value for consumers, advertisers, and publishers alike.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Business Development to close AI platform search and commerce partnerships at adMarketplace. In this role, you will define, negotiate, and scale high‑impact enterprise agreements that expand our search and performance advertising marketplace, unlock new supply and monetization opportunities, and strengthen adMarketplace’s competitive position across the open web.

This role blends long‑term strategic vision with hands‑on execution to expand adMarketplace’s footprint across AI, platform, search, and commerce ecosystems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Define, negotiate, and close high‑impact partnerships across platforms, search environments, commerce ecosystems, shopping agents, AI‑driven experiences, and non‑editorial digital publishers.
  • Build and manage a diversified strategic pipeline aligned with company growth priorities, balancing near‑term revenue with long‑term marketplace positioning.
  • Manage relationships with partners, identifying expansion opportunities and driving measurable partnership performance over time.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to align partnership opportunities with roadmap priorities and marketplace capabilities.
  • Lead cross‑functional efforts to integrate and operationalize partnerships, ensuring seamless execution from agreement through launch and scale.
  • Structure complex commercial agreements, including negotiation of business terms, usage rights, and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Product, and Business Development leadership to drive agreements through review and approval processes.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline health, deal progress, revenue impact, and strategic outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships within technology, digital media, adtech, search, platform, commerce, or AI‑related environments.
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise deals from sourcing and negotiation through execution and revenue activation.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Sales teams to structure and operationalize partnerships.
  • Demonstrated partnership and sales experience across digital platforms, search engines, and commerce ecosystems.
  • Well‑versed in LLM capabilities with an understanding of emerging search syndication and distribution technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate deal economics, structure scalable commercial agreements, and drive measurable revenue impact.
  • Executive‑level communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
