New Product Marketing - Marketing Specialist

Job Overview

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating with other marketing and sales professionals to implement innovative campaigns, support marketing programs, as well as to maintain marketing content via print and digital media.   Also responsible for supporting new product launches and product management.

Responsibilities for Marketing Specialist

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as trade shows, social media, promotional tools and digital campaigns
  • Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. product and sales) to develop and monitor marketing initiatives, supporting SMC’s broad line of components for industrial automation
  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns
  • Conduct market research, voice-of-customer research and analyze trends to support new sales and/or product development opportunities
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met
  • Write, proofread, and edit product content across different mediums and communication channels
  • Various marketing tasks to support product management, product promotions, industry events and digital marketing.

Qualifications for Marketing Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing or related work experience.  Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools including CRM systems, content management systems, graphics software, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
