Job description

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Marketing Communications Project Manager I for our client partner. This role will support the development and execution of communications initiatives across multiple business functions. This role will focus on building, managing, and organizing scalable communications workflows and content systems while coordinating projects related to growth initiatives, HR programs, IT security, and safety topics. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management capabilities and the ability to translate complex business topics into clear, structured communications for stakeholders. This role requires deep familiarity with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to help generate, refine, and scale communications content while improving the efficiency, consistency, and repeatability of team workflows. Success in this role will require a blend of communications strategy, AI-enabled content development, workflow design, and operational project management to partner on how communications are planned, produced, and delivered across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of communications initiatives across topics such as growth and economic development, employee benefits, performance management, change management, safety initiatives, IT security measures, data centers, and AI-related growth initiatives.
  • Organize and manage communications workflows that enable teams to efficiently develop, review, and distribute content across multiple internal audiences.
  • Leverage AI and Large Language Model (LLM) tools to support content generation, editing, summarization, and message refinement while maintaining brand voice and strategic messaging.
  • Design and maintain repeatable content workflows that improve the scalability and efficiency of communications efforts.
  • Manage communication projects and timelines while coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize Adobe Workfront™ and Microsoft Planner to manage communication tasks, timelines, and approvals.
  • Open and close project jobs, monitor schedules, and adjust timelines as needed while communicating updates to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure communications adhere to Associated Press (AP) Style Guide, project specifications, and company guidelines.
  • Maintain consistent quality, clarity, and accuracy across communications outputs.

Role Allocation:
  • 40% Growth/Economic initiatives communications coordination and messaging support.
  • 40% HR, IT, and Safety communications coordination and messaging support.
  • 20% Project management, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled communications processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications or project management.
  • Experience using CRM, marketing automation, or workflow management systems (e.g., Workfront, HubSpot, Microsoft Planner).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to translate complex business topics into clear, structured communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to support and accelerate communications workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing communications initiatives in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude), and responsible use of AI in communications workflows.

Work Arrangement:
  • This role follows a hybrid work model and can be based in Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA.
