Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy leads the development of integrated marketing plans aligned with Walmart’s business objectives. This role involves analyzing customer insights, competitive data, and market trends to drive innovative marketing initiatives that enhance brand positioning and customer engagement. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective implementation. Additionally, the role oversees stakeholder communications, performance analysis, and cross functional team coordination to maximize marketing impact and support Walmart’s growth and operational goals.  This role is focused on the Beauty and Wellness categories.

Our team serves as the central connection point between customer needs and commercial goals. We partner across Merchandising, Site, and Marketing channel teams to build and execute an integrated customer strategy. Our mission is to leverage customer behavior, trends, and insights to develop compelling narratives and programs that address key business opportunities. Our focus is to ensure a seamless and intuitive shopping experience from discovery to checkout, driving growth and enhancing customer engagement through strategic marketing planning and execution.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and align marketing strategies with Walmart’s overall business objectives and brand positioning.
  • Analyze customer insights, competitor data, and market trends to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Translate insights and business objectives into compelling strategic briefs that guide the development and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Assess campaign performance to optimize marketing strategy and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive integrated marketing plans.
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance skills and support professional growth.
  • Monitor and adjust plans based on performance metrics and evolving business needs.

  • Expertise in strategic marketing and business planning aligned with commercial goals.
  • Ability to develop, execute, and optimize marketing strategies and initiatives based on customer insights and competitive analysis.
  • Experience assessing marketing, financial, and performance KPIs to maximize marketing investments and ROI.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills in presenting to senior leadership.
  • Adaptability to evolving market conditions and commitment and curiosity for continuous improvement and innovation.
