Job description

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @ Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

We're hiring a Head of Marketing to own the full marketing function for the IT business: growth, product marketing, field marketing, content marketing, demand generation, and cross-sell. You'll set strategy, own the pipeline number, continue to scale the team, and partner directly with the the IT GM and Sales leadership. This is a builder seat with real P&L impact for someone who wants to run a marketing org inside one of the fastest-growing software companies in the world.

The world of IT has changed. The average employee now operates alongside dozens of AI tools and unreviewed OAuth grants. Shadow AI has become the new Shadow IT, with a far larger blast radius. The legacy IT stack — identity, MDM, ticketing, compliance as separate point tools — can't keep up.

Rippling IT is the IT infrastructure for the AI era: one platform that unifies identity, devices, and compliance on a single data graph, so policy is set once and enforced everywhere, for every employee and every agent. It is one of Rippling's most strategic and fastest-growing businesses, with an ambitious set of launches planned for the coming months.

What you will do
  • Own the IT pipeline number end-to-end across paid, owned, partner, field, and lifecycle — and run growth, demand gen, content, field, and product marketing as one integrated motion.
  • Lead GTM for an ambitious roadmap of path-breaking products
  • Drive cross-sell into Rippling's installed base, partnering with HR and Finance marketing leaders to convert single-product customers into IT customers.
  • Build the AI-native marketing motion. We expect you to be re-architecting your team's workflows around agents and to have strong opinions about where this goes next.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a multi-disciplinary team across growth, PMM, field, content, and ops
  • Be a thought partner to the IT GM and Sales leadership on segmentation, packaging, and strategy
What you will need
  • Deep experience in B2B SaaS marketing and leading multi-function marketing teams
  • A track record of owning and hitting a pipeline or revenue number at a high-growth company
  • Real IT, infrastructure, or security buyer empathy — you’ve had real exposure to IT admins, CIOs, or CISOs and can speak their language without a translator
  • High clock speed and a bias toward action
  • A clear, demonstrated point of view on AI in marketing, not as a buzzword, but as something you're using daily and rebuilding your function around
