Job description

Anderson University's Office of Marketing and Communication invites applications for a full-time, 12 month position as Marketing Content Creator. Anderson University is an innovative and entrepreneurial comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Marketing Content Creator will craft clear and compelling copy for a variety of marketing collateral and digital platforms, producing engaging content that creatively tells the story of Anderson University and its mission. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations and Productions, the Marketing Content Creator will support key communication initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to identify and meet emerging needs that advance the university's mission. Additionally, this role will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure content and messaging is consistent, effective, and aligned with brand standards.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or related field is preferred. Prior professional work experience, preferably agency or marketing team experience, is required. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, along with a solid understanding of copywriting best practices, including AP and Chicago style. Success in this role requires adaptability in writing tone and style across various platforms-such as web, email, social media, and print-along with familiarity with SEO principles and a willingness to learn content management systems and digital publishing tools. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, a coachable mindset and commitment to continuous improvement and the Christ-focused mission of the university is essential.
