Dewberry is currently seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our Mid-Atlantic marketing team that will be based in our Fairfax, VA  offices. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in proposal development, business development, strategic marketing, and client pursuits within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry

As a Marketing Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced marketing and business development professionals, supporting pursuit teams that help secure some of the region's most impactful infrastructure, transportation, and community development projects. You'll gain exposure to proposal strategy, market research, client engagement, and marketing communications while developing skills that can lead to long-term career growth within a nationally recognized firm.

  • Assist in the development, production, and delivery of compelling proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other pursuit materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical professionals to support strategic pursuit efforts across multiple markets and service lines.
  • Conduct market, client, and competitor research to support business development activities.
  • Edit, format, and proofread proposals and marketing materials to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Compile and analyze market intelligence and business development information.
  • Maintain and update information within the firm's client relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Generate reports and assist with data management and tracking efforts.
  • Support the planning and execution of conferences, industry events, and client engagement activities.
  • Organize and maintain marketing collateral, project information, and pursuit resources.
  • Contribute to special marketing initiatives and team projects as needed.

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently  and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have extensive computer software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook & Teams).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud desktop publishing applications (InDesign & Acrobat Pro).
  • Familiarity working with CRM or database management systems.
  • Availability to work overtime, as necessary, in order to meet deadlines.
